Skip the APK
Many "TikTok downloader" APKs outside the Play Store ask for access to your contacts, messages or storage. Some show ads on your lock screen, and some have been caught stealing logins. You do not need any of that. A web page cannot read your phone, and it leaves nothing behind when you close the tab.
Where files go
Chrome and Samsung Internet save to the Download folder. Your gallery app (Google Photos, Samsung Gallery) picks the video up automatically within a few seconds. MP3 files show up in your music app and in Files.
Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo and other phones
- Samsung: Samsung Internet saves to My Files → Download. The video also appears in Gallery → Albums → Download.
- Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO: Mi Browser and Chrome save to the Download folder; open it from the File Manager app.
- Oppo, Realme, Vivo: Chrome saves to Download; the Photos app shows it under Albums.
- Google Pixel: Files by Google → Downloads, and in Google Photos under Library → Download.
Add SLMtik to your home screen
In Chrome tap ⋮ → Add to Home screen. You get an icon that opens the downloader full screen like an app — but it is still just this page, with no permissions.
Saving mobile data
The SLMtik page itself is tiny — about 20 KB — so most of your data goes to the video file. Choose 720p instead of 1080p to roughly halve the size, or choose MP3 if you only need the sound.
